MTC 360 Summer Musical Theatre Intensive

Ages 8+ | One Week | M-F 9:00am-3:30pm | July 12-16 | performance at 3:00pm on Friday

In this high-energy one week program, performers will be immersed in musical theatre training in song, dance, and acting. Participants will:

• Rehearse and perform exciting musical theatre numbers to strengthen vocal, dance, and theatre skills while building performance confidence

• Study essential musical theatre techniques with focused instruction in vocals, choreography, scene work, and more

• Gain experience training like professional musical theatre artists, learning audition skills, song performance, tandem dancing, theatrical blocking, and expressive acting

• Work collaboratively to produce a dazzling musical theatre production, showcasing their dedication and talent

mtc kids theatre intensive

Age 6-12 | Two Weeks | June 28-July 9 | 10:00AM-2:00PM | Mon-Fri | performance at 2:00pm on Friday

A two week musical theatre intensive for actors and dancers ages 6-12. Students will rehearse and put on a condensed version of a musical production to perform on the stage at the end of the session. Act, sing, dance, and put together a production in just two weeks!

Dance Intensives

Summer dance intensive

Ages 8+ | 10:00AM-3:30PM | Mon-Thurs | performance at 3:00pm on Thursday

• Session I: June 14-17 - Ballet Intensive

• Session 2: June 21-24 - Jazz/Contemporary Intensive

  This 4-day summer dance intensive challenges intermediate to advanced dancers to take their technique to the next level. Over the workshop, students will:

  • Train intensively in ballet, contemporary, or jazz to expand their versatility

  • Tackle complex choreography and demanding combinations to increase stamina, precision and artistry

  • Enhance musical interpretation, stage presence and performance quality

  • Participate in workshops focused on endurance, technique, turns, leaps, flexibility and more

  • Debut newly learned pieces at the culminating performance for family and friends

  Join our immersive dance community this summer! Dancers will be pushed in a supportive environment alongside peers who motivate and inspire. We can't wait to grow together!

• Enhance musicality, dynamics, and expressive abilities

GUITAR/ukulele workshop

Our Beginning/Intermediate Guitar & Ukulele Workshop is the perfect way to kickstart your musical journey! In just a few days, students will learn basic chords, strumming patterns, and fun and popular songs in a supportive and engaging environment. No experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to make music!

Voice & Choir Intensive

Age 8+ | June 16-18 | Wed-Fri | 11:00AM-2:00PM | performance 2:00pm on Friday

Summer Voice & Choir Workshop! This enriching vocal program welcomes students ages 8 and up for an immersive musical experience. Over the course of the workshop, participants will:

• Rehearse and perform compelling pieces that showcase their technical and creative talents

• Refine their vocal technique and diction through targeted exercises and instruction

• Explore music theory, sight-singing, and movement to complement their vocal training

• Bond with other young singers who share their enthusiasm for singing

Rock Band Intensive

Ages 10+ | June 28 - July 2 | Mon-Fri | 10:00AM-2:00PM | performance 2:00pm on Friday

This enriching musical program welcomes students ages 10-18 who want to form their own rock bands. Over the course of the workshop, rockers will:

• Rehearse compelling songs across genres like pop, rock, punk, metal, and more to develop their technical abilities and stage presence

• Refine their skills on their instruments of choice like guitar, bass, drums, keyboard or vocals through instruction and jams

• Learn about songwriting, arranging songs to fit their ensemble, and composing original tunes

• Explore music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to complement their musical training

• Bond with other musicians who share their enthusiasm for performing in bands

Join us this summer for an awesome week-long journey into the exciting world of rocking out live on stage. We'll help bands form, start rehearsing, and prepare to perform by the end of the week. We can't wait to make amplifiers rumble together!
